Merging concurrent projects with shared resources

Mario - Roma

I use Project 2007.
I need to create two projects, let's say ProjectA and ProjectB, with a
shared pool of resources.
Can I get the result I need without using a Project Server?
Given my resources work on both projects, can I give priority to ProjectA
and allocate resources on ProjectB when they are not used in ProjerctA?
Let me give an example.
A resource is busy in Project A on Tuesday and Wednesday so, if the same
resource is assigned to a 3 days task on ProjectB starting on Monday he will
be busy on Monday, Thursday and Friday and the 3 days task will take 5 days
of elapsed time.
In other words, I want to use a resource in ProjectB when the resource is
not used in ProjectA.
Can I get the requested result without implementing Project Server?

Mario

Hello Mario,

You have to share resource between the 2 (or more...) projects:
From the project which will borrrow the resources from the other project:
Tools / Resources Sharing / Share resources... / Use resources from... (the
other project)
Others answers are inserted in lines.

GD : Project / Project Information : increase the Priority of project A
Let me give an example.

GD : Run a levelling : Tools / Level Resources...
or use the "Available to work" option in the Assign Resources dialog.
