move of unstarted tasks forward to status date

During regular updates of our project plan
- tasks that were originally scheduled before the status date and have
started, have the remaining parts of the task moved after the status date.
- but tasks originally scheduled before the status date and have NOT
started, remain scheduled before the status date (so essentially these tasks
are scheduled in the past).

How do we have the tasks originally scheduled before the status date and
have NOT started moved to after the status?

Tools>Tracking>Update Project

Reschedule uncompleted work to start after: [Status Date]
For: Entire Project

Hello Laz,

Are you using Tools > Tracking > Update Project and selecting the option
"Reschedule Uncompleted work to start after"? That should move all
tasks with remaining work/duration to the status date.
