moving objects

Hi, I think I'm pretty confident using Word but for some reason I cannot
move an object. Usually I can click and drag the object but it's not doing
it. Does anyone know what's wrong? Mindy

When you click on the object, do you get the Picture toolbar? If so, click
on the Text Wrapping button (dog icon) and choose a wrapping style other
than In Line With Text.

Yes, I get the picture toolbar but when I click on the text wrapping button,
all the options are greyed out. the picture is from microsoft. what could
be wrong?
