MS Excel 2007 on govt computer

Imparative to my job excel is my number one used program. Latley however, MS
excel has decided that it doesnt want to open any of the saved files that i
have on my desk top, or files that i have burned to a disc. The files are not
corrupt, because i have insterted the disc into my personal computer and they
functioned properly, i have also emailed the files to my self and acessed
them on another goverment computer. when i open the files on my computer they
open up briefly then and eorry pops up that says MS Excel is no longer
responding and asks me to recover the files. So, i open up a blank Excel
sheet and try to recover, no luck. I have tried running the diagnostics, and
restoring MS to a previous version with no luck. I am wondering if there is
any solution out there with out, having to reboot my entire computer. I Have
tried to uninstall and reinstall MS Excel with no luck as well.
If there is an answer out there i would greatly appreciate hearing it.
