MS Publisher compatibility

I have Publisher 98 on CD. Can I install it and run it on my PC which has
Vista on it?.

I have Publisher 98 running on Vista. I don't use it much, but it works when I
need it.

Thanks for your replies.
I have now installed Publisher 97 on my PC, which is running Vista.
Functions ok. But files created on this PC using the newest Publisher
available, for a trial period, will not playback with Publisher 97 which
I've now installed.

Indeed not. The file format changed three times in the five years 1997 -
2002; Publisher 2000 and later can save back as far as Publisher 98, but
nothing can save Publisher 97-readable files except Publisher 97 and
earlier.
