my office WORD is corrupted

hello,
when I open a word 2000 doc, I can see the text I wrote but then after
a few sec, Word shuts down it self...I have never seen this before. Is
this because of a virus? thanks a lot

Hi, Pierre. Does this problem occur when you try to open one particular
document, or all documents? If it's just one document, see
