New Critical Update KB833407

I have looked at all of the symbols in the Boookshelf
Symbol 7 font and find none that are unacceptable to me.
Why does Micorosoft deem some of them unacceptable? Why is
this a critical update? Does using the font cause damage
to the operating system or create some kind of security
problem?
