When I logged on this morning I received a message this newsgroup is
unavailable. Nor does it show up in the list on msnews.microsoft.com

I am posting via my ISP's server, where the last post is from bboson some 30
hours ago.

Problems???

No. Microsoft announced about a month ago that they were shutting down their
servers. Today several of the groups were wiped out.

Thanks JoAnn

Sad really - but understandable after the morons that infested many of the
MS groups.

I don't drop by as much as I used to, but am always grateful to guys like
you and Mary, etc.

So I suppose its the Answers Forums from now on.

See you there sometime soon - just upgraded to Office 2007 awaiting freebie
Office 2010 whenever - lot different to my old 2003 lol.

I don't know if you'll see this but at least some of the groups are still
available using other news servers. I'm using eternal-september.org.
