Newsgroups in Outlook

I have created a newsgroup icon on the "Go" button in Outlook 2003. I was
able to successfully click on the newsgroup button I created, and subscribe
to the newsgroup that I wanted to subscribe to.

When I closed Outlook, and reentered it, the news button was no longer
showing up on the "Go" button. I went back through the process to recreate
it, and the News icon was no longer available under the commands window.

I then rechecked the "go" button, and it still was not there. In playing
around with the "go" button, by clicking on the calendar contacts, tasks,
etc. when I open up the "go" button again, the news button is there.

If I click on the news button then I am taken to the following directory:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\SYSTEM\MSMAPI\1033, which obviously, is not
the newsreader window.

If I click on the email envelope in IE 6, then select "Read news" nothing
happens.

What do I need to do to solve this problem?

Thanks for your help.
