normal view slide scale

When I use PPT in Windows, in normal view I can see the actual slides in
the "outline pane" on the left. With office V.X, at 100% they only appear
as generic icons. Is there a way to make these readable?

I don't quite follow, Tom. Which version of PowerPoint/Win, and in what
view do you see the actual slides in Outline view? In 2002 and up, there's
a choice between viewing slide miniatures or outline but not both at once.
In PPT X/Mac there's no option for slides ... just outline view.
