my norton subscription has expired, is there a way to stop the subscription update from opening every time my comp starts up? i've gone online and downloaded all the updates, but i still get the prompt to renew my subscription and it's quite annoying

Ask in a Symantec news group. This is not an Office problem.

darkrats

try:
start/run - msconfig

and check the startup tab/list for any norton entries
uncheck your best guess and reboot
you can always recheck it if you guess wrong
