Not able to select text.

I notice that once I have "printed " an article from some sourse such as a
web page, to OneNote, the text in the article is not selectabe. I simply get
a blue box when I attempt to select any text in the article in OneNote.
On the other hand, if I copy and paste the same text to OneNote from the
sourse, then the text in OneNote is selectable as I would expect it to be.
My question is ...how can I make text (which has been 'printed") to
oneNote......selectabe.

If you are running 2007, you can copy the text from the image by right
clicking it and selecting "Copy Text from this Page of the Printout" or
"Copy Text from All the Pages of the Printout". Once you have copied the
text, you can paste it on any note page and edit it at will.

THank you for your reply. I am running 2007

Unfortunately it only works for some cases.

There are some pages (that were 'printed' ) from the source, in which your
instruction works. Spcifically, the entire page of text is copied and pasted
into a new note, and then all the text becomes selectable as expected.

Thare however some other pages in which only the upper few lines of text are
pasted into the new note.
I presume that this is because the text that is not able to be pasted is in
fact part of a 'printed' picture...but I was wondering if that text could
also be made selectabe in some way.
