In Outlook 2000 the notes created stay on the desktop even
when outlook is closed but in outlook 2002 they close is
there a way for them to stay on the desktop even when
outlook is closed

I believe even in Outlook 2000 Outlook is still running (check the Task
Manager to make sure). You can minimize Outlook to the Notification Area to
achieve a clutterfree taskbar. To do this follow the instructions at;
