Number formatting - merge from Excel

How can u get Publisher to recognise and adopt number
formats from Excel when merging ie 7 800.00 0r (46
700.00) etc ?

Currently I just get the straight number 7800

Do a SAVE AS of the Excel file as CSV (Comma Seperated Values) and use that
for your merge data file.

Yes, you will have to re-setup your merge with the new CSV file.

Thanks - found that tab separated worked better -
seemed to have a problem with CSV merge - any ideas on how
to increase the size of the merge fileds - to more than
65 characters or so?
