Office 03: Can't kill Clipboard popup

I set the clipboard options to not display, set everything to not
popup, but it still keep coming up. any tricks to excising this
annoyance?

There's an "options" button at the footer of the Clipboard taskpane. All 5
items on its popup menu should be unchecked. Are they?

Eric,

Deselecting the check marks just isnt holding. Clipboard returned to
haunt me today.
