Office 2004 for mac changing permission on files when saving.

Just wanted to see if anyone has run into this problem. I am running a
Win2003 file server. The problem is with documents permissions changing when
saved on the Macintosh. (example) create a document on the PC save to
fileserver open document on Mac opens fine make changes and save document on
Mac go back to PC open document all permissions have change can only open as
readonly now.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Even though microsoft does their best to make mac and pc versions compatible,
macs just have different ways of saving files, so things like permissions are
lost. Solution-dont use a mac they just aren't really compatible with PCs
