Office Save As

Hi,
I'm having a problem with all Office Apps when I try to Save As...
When the window to select the save folder appears, and I click on the down
arrow to select the Save In folder, the small Save In box disappears and I
have to wait for at least 1-2 minutes before the box reappears and then I
can select the folder. If the folder I want to save in is nested, then this
delay occurs for every selection.
This is driving me nuts as it can take up to 10 minutes to save a file!!
Any guidance appreciated...

Right-click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop,
left-click on Disconnect Network Drive, and disconnect any mapped
drives that are not currently available.
