I read that OneNote Beta 7 will sync both ways with the mobile version, from
PC to mobile device, or vice versa. I cannot get that to work, however.
PC-Windows XP Pro SP2, all the newest updates, and ActiveSync 4.2 (final).
PPC-WM5, MDA(T-Mobile USA)(HTC Wizard).
I downloaded the latest OneNote 7 Beta, and installed it to both the PC and
PPC. ActiveSync now shows OneNote Notes as one of the items to be
synchronized.
I have only been able to sync notes from the PPC to the PC, however. I have
not been able to get notes to sync from the PC to the PPC. (Which is how I
tend to use notes applications more--write them on the PC, take them with me
on the PPC.)
I created notes on the PC, in the notebook called OneNote Mobile Notes. When
I try to sync with the PPC, I even get the message "would you like to
replace, combine, etc.". I choose "replace notes on PPC with those of
desktop". It appears to sync, no error messages, etc. However, the notes
created on the PC never appear on the PPC.
Does OneNote Mobile 7 really support two-way sync? If not, it certainly
should!
