outlook 2002

My Outlook 2002 binds up my system in the middle of a
session or when I quit Outlook. My computer will start to
work really hard, even when I quit out of outlook. If I
open up my task manager my performance is at 100% and all
of the processes are from OUTLOOK.EXE. I have to restart
the computer to get it functioning normally again.

Any suggestions of how to fix?
