Outlook opens periodically

While working in an Windows XP environment and with a
different software package, Microsoft Outlook opened. If
minimized or closed it would reopen without the icon
being clicked. Is there a setting that needs to be
adjusted?

I'm having the same exact problem. I have not found an
answer yet.
