Outlook speed

I use Outlook to manage my emails from my ISP. When i get a file attached or
a link included in an email and click on either, it takes up to a minute for
the file to open or the web site to open. I assume it has something to do
with security, but it could be something else.

any suggestions ?

Without any configuration detail we can only resort to guessing.
A virus scanner could be performing a check so in that case the delay is not
caused by Outlook at all. It could be lots of other things too.

It's a very well known problem if it's what I think.
The very first time it has to launch a browser and send
a page to it, it takes forever.
But did you try then with other links? They should open
immediately.
