page scrolling question

When I'm typing and get to the bottom of the window, the page does not scroll
up enough for me to see the whole line I'm typing. I have to keep hitting the
down arrow key and then go back to where I was. This is time-consuming. Is
there a way to change the settings for this? Thanks.

This is a perennial problem that seems to occur sporadically on certain
systems. I'm not sure whether it's Word or the display that governs this,
but I've never read any solution for it.

It seems to only happen in documents where I'm using a template and there is
other type below where I am typing. Wonder if that has anything to do with
it. Thanks anyway.

Documents where you're using a template would be *all* documents (those that
aren't based on any other template are based on Normal.dot). And I seem to
have the problem even when there isn't text below, I think.
