Pasting text, not table

How do I get it to paste the table structure, at the moment I have to
click on the tiny image icon and select "paste as table" to make it
show, before I didn't, but I've a feeling I did something.

Anyone know how to get this back to normal?

You need to provide us with more information. I assume you're pasting
into Word, since this is a Word newsgroup, but which version?

And where are you copying the table? Also from within Word, or
somewhere else? Are you copying an entire table, or only part of it? If
part, what part(s)?
