PDF bookmarks

I have a Word document auto-numbered with headings. When I
convert to .pdf, the .pdf bookmarks don't pick up the auto-
numbers--only the heading titles. Does anyone know how to
turn auto-numbers into manual numbers? Or better yet, how
to get these auto-numbers into the .pdf bookmark tab?

When you say 'autonumbered', do you mean the Heading Styles are numbered?
Usually, what you describe happening is because you haven't used numbered
heading styles.

Yes, the auto-numbering is embedded in the Heading styles.

I'd check to make sure that there isn't an option in the PDF package that
you are using to turn on/off conversion to Bookmarks. I cannot think why
Word would affect Headings with numbers from being converted. It is
something I've not experienced.
