Every time I try to edit my personal information Pubisher closes. It was
working fine until I created a document and it asked me if I wanted to update
my personal information with that of the document. Now it won't work. Can
someone help me with this? I have tried re-installing office but it didn't
work.

Thanks

Do you get an error? Did you start getting the problem after the Office updates?
Perhaps the following will explain & resolve your issue:

Problems in Windows Explorer or the Windows shell
after you install security update MS06-015
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918165

Easy Fix: Visit http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm and scroll
down to Item No. 383 "Hewlett-Packard's Share-to-Web software - Fix (MS06-015)"
to download a registry fix.

Note: You may need to temporarily disable your antivirus program
in order to safely run the scripted fix.

Also, review the following:

MS06-013: Cumulative security update for Internet Explorer
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/912812

Internet Explorer ActiveX compatibility patch for Mshtml.dll
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/917425/

If this doesn't help,
Do a detect and repair from the help menu.

Yes, I get the error box that says "Microsoft Office Publisher has
encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience.".

When I click on "what does this error report contain" I get this:
"Error Signature" : "AppName: mspub.exe AppVer: 11.0.6565.0
AppStamp:42cac959 ModName: ptxt9.dll ModVer: 11.0.6550.0
ModStamp:4239dbf4 fDebug: 0 Offset: 00010c70"

Reporting Details: This error report includes: Information regarding the
condition of Microfot Office Publisher when the problem occured; the
operating system version and computer hardware in use; your digital product
ID, which could be used to identify your license; and the internet protocol
(IP) address of your computer...

I followed the instructions you provided below without success.

Thanks
Vicki
