Physical % Complete on Summary Tasks

Hi All

I know I'm not using this correctly but can anyone explain why I cannot
enter a value for P%C against a summary task ?

I'm not using resourced sub-tasks so I appreciate its all a bit of fudge and
I guess I could just use a text field instead but I still would be interested
to know why it doesn't work.

The value is calculated by Project. It is the weighted sum of
Physical%Complete * BCWS for each subtask under the summary. Project will
not allow you to make an entry on a calculated field in a summary task.

If you are not getting a value on the summary line, it is usually because
one or more of the subtasks has an EV method that is not Physical%Complete.
Also, your baseline calculations must use Physical%Complete as well.
