Portfolio Analyzer query - takes a long time

I have created a Portfolio Analyzer query with these fields:

RBS
Resource
Project
Time
Work
Availability

The database has around 215 resources and 70 projects. The time range is set
for the next 30 days.

The query is to create a forecast report of work vs availabilty for the next
month. It takes this query over three hours to run. Is this normal? Can
anything be done to speed it up?

Thanks,

Gary,

The query looks like:

---------Time----------
--------RBS-------- Yr / Qtr / Month / Day
Lev 5 Lev 6 Lev7 Resource Project Work / Avalibility

The query produces about 980 lines in the result.

I don't understand your comment "Use Time as a filter instead of a
dimension." Can you explain that please?

Thanks,
Howard

The query runs over three hours in either case.

Instead of running the report for all time, drop the time field in the
filter area and do a year, then a Quarter, then a Month... as you like. The
order of things is causing the calculation burden.
