Powerpoint converting to Zip File

Someone sent me a powerpoint document and I revised it and
made changes, it came to me as PPT and when I sent it back
out to a few people it zipped it and I did not tell it to
do this, why does it do this automatically? Thanks

"It" didn't do it. At least I don't know how to make PowerPoint function as
WinZip. If you have WinZip installed you can zip a file without opening
WinZip. For example, right click on the file in Windows Explorer and select
"add to zip file" will do it. Maybe that's what happened.

How did you send it? Step by step. Somewhere along the line my guess is
that you must have done something that changed it to an "archive" file.
