Print attached files - How does Outlook connect to default applica

Hi all,

I have a bit of a weird question. I am one of the administrators that run a
network and we have both "Adobe Acrobat Reader" and "Adobe Acrobat
Professional" All users have access to "Adobe Acrobat Reader" however only
some have access to "Adobe Acrobat Professional".

The default application set to open PDF files is "Adobe Acrobat Reader"

A user tried to open up a mail item in outlook and then went

file>print - the Print box pops up. They tick the box "Print Attached Files.
Attachments will print to the default printer only"

Then hit OK. Now According to outlook it should query the default
application which is set as "Adobe Acrobat Reader" and print the email and
the attached PDF file. However when a users does this they get the error -
"Unable to print attachment *.pdf"

If a user is part of the group that can access "Adobe acrobat professional"
it will print fine and "Adobe Acrobat Professional" will actually open up
while it does this.

This is not supposed to happen. This means that any user that trys to print
this way that does not have access to "Adobe acrobat professional" will get
this error.

If a user trys to open the PDF any other way (by say double clicking the
attachemnt and then printing) it will open up fine in "Adobe Acrobat Reader"
and print. It opens by default corrections in "Adobe acrobat reader" it is
only this function in outlook taht does not work. its like when "Adobe Acobat
Professional" was installed it overwrote some pointer settings for Outlook..
or possibly a registry change and made it so that this method of printing
points to the wrong location.

Does anyone know how the "Print Attached Files" option querys the
appropriate program as i need to modify this to point to "Adobe Acrobat
Reader"
