Print multiple calendars with calendar names using Calendar Print

K

Kristian

Have Outlook 2007 and Calendar Printing Assistant.

I am using it to print multiple calendars in overlay in the office.
However, I am unable to find a way to view the names of the calendar owners
on the printout.

For example, I have a 2 week view with 2 calendars overlaid. One calendar
is blue and the other cyan. The calendar owners' names are displayed on the
screen, but not on the printout. I would like to be able to hand out the
calendar in the office with the names on it so everybody knows what everybody
else is doing.

Okay. It seems odd that such an elementary feature was omitted. Otherwise,
there is no way to know who is doing what.

We will have to live with that, while I keep searching.

Thanks.

AFAIK, no, there is no legend added to the print out and no way to add one,
other than by writing it in yourself (with a pen).

My guess is they didn't think users would need that information - that most
people would print their own calendars (which often consist of a work and
personal calendar).

Two possibilities -

you can edit the footer to say "Mary is blue, Bill is green" - this good if
you will be using the same calendars every time. See
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/editcpao.asp

Or... for monthly and week planners especially - change the symbol to to
use the last name initial or pick more appropriate symbols from the Wingding
and Webding fonts. Click on the arrow beside the calendar names on the left
pane - you'll see them when you move the mouse over the name.

Kristian,

I downloaded and tried to install Calendar Print Assistance on 2 computers,
an XP and Vista platform, and the software doesn't appear anywhere in the
Outlook 2007 application. Any ideas why?

Thanks,
Rod
