Printing Files

I realize this is a MS Publisher group, and I love publisher, so I would
like to ask a question:

I have a folder with 400 of files (word, excel, and publisher files) in
sub-folders with files within them. How can I easily print all of them as a
single print job? Preview function would also be nice. Re-ordering &
replacing pages before printing is also nice.

What program is out there to do this type of task. I realize Acrobat can do
this, but it seems like a lot of extra steps, since I don't need the pdf.

Just because you have Publisher, doesn't make this the right place to be
posting this (why pick a Publisher group? Why not Word or Excel?) Your
question has nothing whatsoever to do with the machinations or use of said
application therefore, this is off-topic. Suggest you repost in a group
concerned with your OS.

As Don asked, did you want to print the contents of each file OR did you
want to print the contents of the directory tree (i.e. the foldernames &
filenames) involved

To do the latter I use ExplorerPlus, a file manager (similar to PowerDesk
which is similar to the old Norton Navigator which was similar to XTree
Windows etc). Do a google search, there is a demo of Explorer Plus and of
PowerDesk.

To do the former....to actually print out erach of the xls, doc, and pub
files....ummm. Not without opening and printing each one. Now if you are
suitably motivated, you might have a look at the Windows Scripting Host. I
suspect that you could wroite a script that would open the files and print
them. Or VBA...

Or spend a couple hours and just do it..
