Problem with Publishing PDF

L

Lisal

When I try to publish to PDF there is an error message that says Publisher
can't save file. In addition when I try to email or send - I am having this
same problem. If I cant get a fix for this it would be appreciated.

I can't help you with that version. I loaded it on my husband's computer but
I've been too busy try to create a handbook on my system. (I wasn't going to
risk my computer's stability with beta software.)

You print a PDF, not save. Do you have a PDF printer? (Not the Reader). Are you
trying to send email from Publisher?

She has the beta so she could be saving. I can't help her because I've
barely even touched the beta.

The refresh has done away with the PDF option, I can't help her either. Maybe

I didn't know that. I think it's great that they are going to offer that for
Office but I'd rather have something like Primo or Acrobat that will allow
me to use it with *any* program I have on my computer.

I thought there was a legal issue with Adobe

| There is an add-in available from the Microsoft site that re-enables it.

There is but MS found a way around it - by offering it as a free add-in. I'd
still rather have a program that allows me to create a .pdf file from
anywhere instead of one that only works with Office.

I'd rather have a free one that works better than Adobe's add-in for
specifically working with Office apps, though.

You know, I just don't get it. I have absolutely no problem with Acrobat.
And I'm tickled pink!

I can't leave the Acrobat add-in running for more than a few months
without it starting to crash Publisher and Word on launch. And it still
doesn't fully support gradient transparency, unlike the built-in 2007
Office PDF.
