Problems copying from PDF file

When I copy an object from an Adobe Reader file and paste it into a Publisher
file, I have two problems: object loses its sharpness and when I print it
out, it prints out in a solid black block. What am I doing wrong? Any help
would be appreciated!
Thank you.

What happens if you copy and paste into an editing program and save and then
insert into Publisher. What happens if you select "paste special" and designate
a specific format? What is the resolution of the picture? Where did you get the
PDF? Do you have an URL?

Thank you, Mary! What kind of editing program? The PDF is off of a website.
I tried two ways:

Crop, copy and paste directly onto my Publisher file. That resulted in bad
quality and black-block printing.

Saved the PDF file to my hard drive and "paste special" and I seemed not to
lose quality of the object. The only problem is, I need to crop the
document.

There must be a better way and I just can't seem to figure it out. Could
you shed more light on this? I'm not super computer savy, but I'm trying to
keep up! Thank you so much.

MS Paint will work as an editing program. You could do a print screen, paste and
crop in Paint.

I only asked for the URL to see if I get the same results.

I have MS Paint, Adobe Photo Elements and Corel Painter IX.5. I guess I
could any of these? Thanks for clarifying "editing program" as I wasn't sure
what you were referring to.

Here's the URL of the document. I need to create a school document with
some of the items in the newsletter, hence, the cut and paste. September is
coming up soon and I haven't been able to get past square one with my
newsletter so I thank you for your help. I'll try to use the editing
programs and save it to my hard disk...then paste. Should I use "paste" or
"paste special"? What is the difference between the two?

I downloaded the PDF, I can edit the text and save the images. Usually I can
import a PDF into Corel, Corel is reporting the file is corrupt. Exactly what
parts of the file do you need? I can separate the objects and put them into a
Publisher document. The pictures are okay for me. Are you up to editing the text
if I simply use plain text. The PDF says the font the document is using is
StoneSans.
Paste will bring the image over in a default manner, paste special gives you a
choice. I pasted the image into an editing program and erased the background.

I was able to open it with ScanSoft's PDF Converter software. Contact me
offline if you would like this sent as a Word doc. You can copy and paste
whatever you need from that.

Using pdf2picture/pdfFLY you can convert any graphics drawing or form saved
in PDF file
to Windows native graphics format (WMF or EMF). All text/vector objects can
be edited
using MS drawing tools.

See http://www.pdf2picture.com for more information.
