Project 2007 bt2r - Can't add a task

When I start click on "Task Name" column in an empty row, when I start typing
nothing happens. The screen just starts blinking and the column says
"Predecessors". This also happens on two other machines. Basically, this
makes Project 2007 bt2r unusable. Anyone with ideas?

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup

It seems to me you have an installation failure of some sort. There's a
webcast presentation referred to on the Project developer's blog at this
URL: http://blogs.msdn.com/project/rss.xml . This might help to confirm or
otherwise the steps you took are the correct ones.
