In past editions there were button in the tools chabge working timed drop
down to change from working days to non working days or vice versa. Do you
have to enter information for each day to change the working or non working
days?

Thank You

Hello gvs,

The Project 2007 method of changing working time is a bit different, as
you have discovered. To make a selected day nonworking:

Tools > Change Working Time and scroll the calendar to the month you
need.
Select the day or days you wish to make non-working.
Click the Exception tab towards the bottom of the dialog box, if
necessary.
Enter in a name for the exception -- for example, the name of the
holiday. The start and Finish area should fill in if you press ENTER or
TAB.
The day or days should now be nonworking time.

If 8:00 - 5:00 pm does not accurately express the working time, you will
need to change the working hours for all working days.
Click the Work Weeks tab and then click the Details... button.
Select the working days (you can click and drag to select Monday through
Friday if needed) and use the options to the right of the dialog box to
either set the days as nonworking, working, or specific working times.

The Help button in the Change Working Time dialog box and the Help
button in the Details dialog box will give additional information that
you will find helpful as well.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

This does not seem very efficient for the way I use poject. What is the
latest version that will work with VISTA besides Project 2007?

Thank You

Hello Grant,

Project 2007 is the latest version of MS Project. I do not personally
know if Project 2003 will run in Vista as I do not run Vista.

Just curious though, what do you see as inefficient about the new method
of changing the calendar? I personally love the ability to set
nonworking days for holidays for years at a time.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
