pst file is missing data!!

I did a complete backup of my hard drive, then did a fresh Windows XP install, along with a fresh Office XP install. I launched Outlook, then closed it, then deleted the new .pst file, then relaunched Outlook, and pointed it to my old .pst file (that I copied from my backups that I had just done 3 hours earlier). Everything looks good except for the fact that it ONLY shows email and and any other items (contacts, calendar, etc.) up to the date 8-29-03. I just did the backup today (1-14-03). I had done an export in November to back up my pst file, and when I import from IT, I get all my email, calendar events, etc up to November, but I need all my data up to TODAY!! I can't figure this out. The file is not corrupt, and had been working fine when I backed it up. PLEASE help.
