publisher 2003

i have some ms publisher files on my server that i can't open unless i copy
them to my pc and open them from there. some files on server will open some
will not. i tried opening the same files on another pc, no problem, other
pc's open all files. i tried detect and repair, i tried uninstall and
reinstall with this one pc to no avail.

server running win2k

pc's running winxp

anybody see this problem before?

yes, Publisher doesn't play well from server, just always work with file on
your machine.
