Publisher to Adobe

I am trying to convert my Publisher file to Adobe by using the Adobe icon.
Have done this several times in past and now it is telling me "Printer failed
to create PDF file". How can I get this converted? What am I failing to do?

Have you made any changes to your system since you last successfully created
a .pdf file?

Can you print from file? Is the Adobe PDF printer there or the distiller depending on
your version?
Adobe has updates for Acrobat. Might look at the Acrobat support documents. Can you
convert from Word?

Out of curiosity, what happens if you bypass the icon and go to File > Print
and choose the Adobe PDF printer driver? Will that let you print to PDF?

What happens if you use the Print To File option to create a PostScript
file, and then drag-drop this postscript file into the Acrobat Distiller?

Does your publication contain large images? Do you have SP1 for Publisher
2003?
