Ok,
someone before me created a database where you can open the Form in
Datasheet view, delete all the records, paste in your column of part numbers
and Access fills in all other colums with data like description, price,
alternate item numbers, mfct. numbers etc.
I have to create another DB like it with a different data set. The old DB
was, in my opinion not very cleanly kept and has many tables, forms, queries
etc. and I am not sure all are in use. so in short, of not much help.
The tables I have are ITEM DATA and ALTERNATE ITEM DATA, they share the Item
number in common and all other columns are different.
what is the best method to combine the data in the two tables and be able to
"drop" a list of item numbers into a form and return all associated data for
each row in the datasheet view of that form?
