put columns in alphabetic order

Ok i have a list of names in a word doc. How do i sort them into
alphabetic order....... I am sure it is simple just dont know how to
do it. any suggestions

Looks like you and I are among the few users of this group.

I find it easier to use Excel for things like sorting. Try that,
then copy the table into Word.

Hi! No need to use Excel - just click anywhere in the table and go to Table
Sort and choose the column you want to sort by. You can even add the Sort
buttons to the toolbar in the customize area...
