PWA not loading work progress

hi,
We just deployed project server 2007 with PWA and are having some issues
understanding how it works.
When a user reports progress on a specific task and after PM approves the
progress, the project center does not show the updates. Does the PM need to
open the project and publish it again from project pro? we expected that once
the project is published, it should update the status in project center as
and when the progress is reported and approved by PM.

Yes, the PM has to actually open and publish the project after approving
task updates. It is for this reason that we recommend that the PM approve
pending task updates from directly within Microsoft Project 2007 instead.
He/she can open the project and he/she will see the number of pending
updates. Then he/she can approve these updates and immediately see the
results, and then publish the latest changes. Hope this helps.

Another option is to publish the updates from within PWA. On the Approvals
pages, click Goto Reviewed requests, and publish them from there.
