Reading pane options greyed out

Hi all

In my new Outlook 2003, the reading pane options (Tools|Options|Other) are
all greyed-out.

The only option I'm interested in (at the moment) is making Outlook "mark as
read" after view for 1 second in the reading pane.

Have you spoken with the Exchange admins to see if there is a group policy
disabling the Reading Pane options?
