Help! I bought a computer from a friend that already had
Microsoft Office installed on it. I also had purchased
the professional version of Office XP. So I uninstalled
the "regular" version of Office XP and installed my new
version of Office Professional XP. The install went fine,
but when I pull up office after the install (I've done
the install twice now) it has the former user's name
registered on it. What's up? We have an IT at my work
and he said that I should use the regedit feature in
windows to remove the old name. It never shows up there.
Now he is stumped! Any clues?
