reinsert .pst file into outlook 2002

I need to backup my .pst files and then reinsert them
into Outlook2002 (i.e. I need to wipe and rebuild my
machine and would like to have my .pst files reinserted
into Outlook after I rebuild). Can anyone point me to
some good documentation or give me some steps to do this?
