I have a schedule template that keeps giving me the "The resource is assigned
outside the original dates for task 290 Level 2 review in project "Overall
Schedule Tmplate". The duration of this fixed-duration task will change to
accommodate the resource assignment" when I try to correct the duration
indicated. It not only changes the duration on this task but a prior task
also.
I have read the “Show help†area but it seems like it is telling that there
is a conflict in the amount of time the resource has available to complete
the task. I have checked the resource calendar and it doesn’t show any
windows of time as non-working that could cause the problem. I have also
tried increasing the number or resources available to no avail.
Please explain what is causing this and what I can do to prevent or correct
it when it does happen. I am under a major time crush on getting this up and
running so anything you can do would be appreciated.
