Resource Levelling

If I have many tasks that are all assigned the same resource and I level
them, should the tasks follow one after the other or will Project do strange
things like splitting tasks? Assuming they do get scheduled one after the
other, if I then apply some "Must Start On" constraints to some of the tasks,
and level again, am I right in assuming that project will schdeule one after
the other still, but re-order them so the "Must Start On" constraints are met?

Now for the trickier bit. This single resource is actually a resource group
(ie Painters 500%). If I assign 1 painter to 2/10 tasks, does Project
schedule based on logical groupings? For instance, in my mind, this should
produce 5 tasks starting on the same date, followed by another 5 tasks
starting on the same date.

Now, assuming everything I have said so far is true, what happens when there
is a delay finishing one of the tasks? Since there are no links between the
tasks there is no critical path. However, since resources are limited, a task
cannot start until the resource assigned to it has finished their current
task. Not making much sense but I hope you can see what I mean.

Thanks

Dave

Project will only split whenever that ois sensible/necessary; if you
bsolutely avoid it, there is an option in leveling.

This is a case where splitting maight occur (when a task is too long to fit
between two constrained tasks)

It will.

Level again and Project will take the updated plan into account. Leveling
will not move finished tasks.
