Resource start time

I have a task that is fixed duration - effort driven. Due to the task
itself, it must take place over 2 days, allowing time for drying.

I had assigned an initial resource to the task, translating into 14 hours of
work over 2 days. This resource doesn't have time to be committed all day to
the task, so am adding another resource to help out. when I assign, it is
fine - the work is divided and still over 2 days.

My question is - what if I don't want both resources to start at the same
time - perhaps I want one resource to work in the morning and the other to
continue on in the afternoon.

If I changed the start time, it sets a constraint, which I don't want to do.

Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hi Jan,

Thanks for your help. I tried changing it manually, but of course it set a
constraint.

So, contouring is the answer - I'll test it out. Thanks for your time and
advice.

Hi,

Task Usage View
Set minor timescale to hours
You can now contour both resources' work at will.

Hope this helps,
