Reveal Formatting task pane

I am doing Microsoft homework. I am suppose to click 'format', then click
'reveal formatting' but I can't find it. It shows a copy of it in my study
book, but not on my window? I am practicing editing a document.

Nita,

What version of Word? I am not sure when this command options became
available in Word. I have Word2003 and it is there on the menu like your
workbook states. Do you have your complete menu displayed
(View>Toolbars>Customize>Options "always show full menus.")

Reveal Formatting is a task pane. It should be listed on your Format menu
but may not be if you have adaptive menus displayed. You can display the
Styles & Formatting task pane (click on the double-A button), then select
Reveal Formatting from the task pane menu (click on the downward-pointing
triangle at the top of the pane). Task panes were introduced in Word 2002,
so if you have an earlier version, you will not be able to do this at all.
