I am struggling to understand the difference between the two options when
selecting tasks to baseline. One is to rollup to all summary tasks and the
other is from subtasks to selected summary tasks. Both options can be
enabled (checked) at the same time which seems odd.
In our schedule, the baseline values for BCWS and Baseline Cost on a group
of tasks do not equal the values on the summary line for this group. We
baselined a group of tasks, added tasks, set baseline for those added tasks,
and the summary line is not reflecting the values of the subordinate tasks.
I thought we had the first option checked but we may have had both options
checked. Also, the summary line is not off by the value of the added tasks
(I checked).
I think I've seen this before. We use MS Project Pro 2003. Any ideas on why
the values are not adding up to the summary line. Thanks!
