SEND/RECEIVE PROBLEM

I find that, after the computer has been asleep for a while, I need to do a
send/receive several times before it works. I first get the block of error
messages saying that each email address has failed. Thoughts.

(Outlook 2003. Windows XP. Using spampal and norton internet security
(but disabling them doesn't seem to make a difference). Problem is not with
IP because I access it with webmail.)

When the computer "wakes up" it takes 30-60 seconds to reconnect to a
wireless network. Could that be the problem? Also if it's a wired network
connection, check Power Options for your network card. Is it set to "Turn off
to save power"? That would require a minute or so to reconnect, too.
